He'd once promised Lan Zhan that he'd never get him or the little moments they've shared and Wei Ying's kept his word all of this time. Of course, it gives him an unfair advantage in situations like this. He can't but chuckles to himself when Lan Zhan gets up to go fetch himself another book. Looking back on the old days of their youth when he'd misinterpreted Lan Zhan doing this as being disliked is funny to him now.

He really shouldn't follow him into the stacks but he does anyway, trailing very close to Lan Zhan as he peers curiously over his shoulder at the shelves.

"Oh? The books you have at your table don't have what you need? How about you try this one instead?"

He pulls off a book on fertility rituals around the world and opens to a picture of a Roman winged phallus.

"Oh, this one has some interesting pictures! Lan Zhan, look!"

He holds out the book with a grin.
