The request had been reasonable enough when he'd gotten it and after talking it over and getting the assurances they'd bring him in alive. Lan Wangji had agreed to help bring Wei Wuxian out of the Underground to turn himself in. He hadn't been present for the incident but he'd been around long enough to see the road his partner had been walking and if this was a chance to bring him back to where Wangji needed him.
It was worth it.
He rarely went into the Underground unless it was to locate Wei Wuxian and today was no different, his footsteps moving, the darkness rendering him all but powerless as he moved through the crowded areas, looking for Wei Ying. This was his last chance at redemption and bringing him home was Wangji's priority.
