CHARACTER INFORMATION

NAME: Wei Wuxian (courtesy name) | Wei Ying (given name). Since courtesy names were dropped in the modern era, "Wei Ying" is the name on his birth certificate.
CANON: Mo Dao Zu Shi
CANON REFERENCE: Wiki entry
History, not covered on wiki
Canon abilities in the novel
AGE: 35
GENDER: Male
CHARACTER TYPE: Meta-Human
APPEARANCE: Canon appearance for reference. However, this is more along the lines of what his appearance will be in the AU. The main difference is that his hair is shorter and his fashion sense has been updated to be more modern. He also has surgery scars hidden in his hair.

PERSONALITY: We would like at least four paragraphs here. If you can do more, that's great, but anything less will be given an automatic revision. What we want here are the ins and outs of the character. Their motivations, personal strengths, and weaknesses. What makes them tick, so to speak. This is not a history section. If at all possible, please back up major personality points with canon examples. Cite canon whenever possible. If there are some differences in the personality due to the AU nature of the game, please note them here, but remember that your character's personality cannot be too drastically different. The core character should remain the same.

POWERS & ABILITIES: Wei Wuxian has the meta-human ability to interdimensionally tap into and manipulate dark energy, a theoretical form of energy conceptually similiar to dark matter, that makes up space and is said to permeate 68% of the observable universe. It's said to be homogenous, less dense than many known forms of energy, and a contributing force to the universe. In this AU, it manifests as black shadows and energy mist that no light can illuminate. At first glance, it's easy to mistake dark energy for ordinary darkness but upon closer inspection, it possesses the impenetrable blackness of outer space.

Due to its nature, dark energy is violently destructive and direct when used against people or objects. Wei Wuxian can harness it in the form of explosive 'energy bombs' that cause a circle of destruction that will cause extensive damage to a property or a person. Most of the time, these are very tiny and used primarily as self-defense but he could theoretically create one powerful enough to destroy a car or potentially level a building He can also use solidified dark energy to create physical constructs such as simple weapons and puppets to perform physical labor. These constructs have an extremely short shelf-life, lasting only five minutes before reverting back into energy, but they're pretty durable while they do last. The most constructs he can maintain at once is two. He is able to open tiny dimensional rifts where he can store objects, akin to anime hammerspace or a bag of holding.

It has to be said that dark energy, for all its potential power, comes with grave setbacks. It's wildly unstable and difficult for Wei Wuxian to control. All too often, it backfires and can literally blow up in his face and it takes an extreme amount of concentration to be able to use it in a way that isn't horribly destructive. Given that he's essentially a human conduit for a cosmic force, it takes a heavy toll on Wei Wuxian's mental and physical health. Wei Wuxian can lose awareness of time and space, control over his own emotions, and can even start experiencing auditory hallucinations which can cause his behavior to turn erratic and hostile. Lastly, his body treats the dark energy flowing through him as a foreign body, resulting in internal bleeding and coughing up blood. If he's lucky, he'll simply collapse from exhaustion and recover with bedrest.

Since it's so dangerous and unpredictable and he has other health issues from the risky neurocybernetic installed in his brain, Wei Wuxian is extremely reluctant to use his meta-human abilities except as a last resort when other people's lives are on the line and he keeps the usage minimal and brief. He prefers to rely on his mundane abilities as much as possible.

As for what his mundane abilties are, Wei Wuxian received quite a bit of specialized training while he was part of a terrorist cell within Yakashbah. He was on of the top marksmen and snipers within the organization, and highly skilled at driving motorcycles and hoverbikes. He was a very agile and adept knife fighter back in his youth but he is thirteen years out of practice with it and all his other combat skills. He had natural charisima and a talent for mentorship and leadership in crisis situations, traits that made him an effective leader of his cell within the Yakashbah and unfortunately, his enemies' chosen target for assassination.

As far as academics go, he's very good at math, science, and a stunningly skilled artist and musician.

AU HISTORY: This is the meat of the AU. We want a detailed history of their character. Their early life, how the conditions of New Gate City have affected them, how they came to discover they are a Meta-human (if applicable), and what lead them to where they are in life now. There is no hard limit on how long this needs to be, but if we feel it is too barebones, there will be a revision, so please do what you can.

SAMPLES

Here is where you link RP samples! While we'll accept any format of thread for these, we'd like to have two (or more) different ones to go through, with at least five or more comments from your character present. Because this is an AU game, we request all samples reflect the AU of your character. Samples can be from the TDM, a musebox, or a meme!

Abilities:

Mundane Abilities

- Highly skilled in the "six arts" of ancient China: poetry, music (flutist), archery (one of the best of his generation of cultivators), calligraphy, mathematics, and horseback riding
- Leadership: Particularly in crisis situations or around people with less knowledge or life experience. Includes mentoring.
- Innovation: Invented an entirely new way to cultivate as well as an assortment of magical tools that continued to be used by cultivators long after his death.
- Survival: Managed to survive for substantial lengths of time under harsh, dangerous conditions in inhospitable places. Includes hunting. Also has some basic knowledge of farming and building basic shelters.
- Swimming: He's a pretty strong swimmer, or at least, he was in his previous life. His current body is weaker than his original one was, though.
- Swordsmanship: Highly skilled swordsman in his youth though he's been out of practice for 13+ years.
- Accuracy: On top of being a good archer, he's also good at aiming just in general.
- High Tolerance: Specifically to alcohol and strong spices.
- Art: Very skilled at drawing.

Mystical Abilities

- Demonic Cultivation: He's a top expert at gathering and using resentful energy (aka negative energy given off by dead or supernatural beings). Tapping into this source comes with a hefty price, however; the more he uses it, the more it clouds his mind and corrupts his body and soul. His ability to control resentful energy is also tied to his emotional state. If Wei Wuxian loses control of himself, he loses control of the resentful energy which has often ended in catastrophes where people died. For this reason, he's careful to only use it sparingly in situations where he has no other option.

- Summoning/Controlling Undead: Demonic cultivation ability. By manipulating resentful energy, Wei Wuxian's able to summon the undead, spirits, and other supernatural entities to his present location. He mainly does this through flute music but it's demonstrated in canon that he can do it to a less reliable extent through whistled tunes. He's also able to train them as if they were an animal to responds to direct, verbal commands.

- Creating Animated Corpses: Demonic cultivation ability. By raising their level of resentful energy, Wei Wuxian's able to animate corpses. They can be created from one complete cadaver or one that's been assembled using spare parts from different incomplete ones. Canonically, he's able to animate literal hordes.

- Musical Influencing: Wei Wuxian's able to influence the moods of specific targets through his flute playing. Most of the time, he uses this on the undead but he's able to use it on the living as well. The type of influence depends on the tune; faster, chaotic tunes agitate and invoke hostility in the subject while slower, softer melodies relax and soothe them.

- "Evocation" and "Rest": These are two special songs from MDZS canon that can be played by a flute and guqin player as either individual solos or as a duet that specifically effect spirits. "Evocation" is a song that uses a spirit's corpse, a piece of its corpse or a personal object in order to summon it to the person's location. "Rest" is a song that's played to calm or suppress a spirit. They're a little different from previous abilities listed in that it's the songs themselves that hold special power here and they're stronger when played as a duet. Wei Wuxian knows the flute parts of both of these songs so even if they don't work in this setting or ever come up, I still wanted to mention it.

- Summoning of Painted Eyes: Demonic cultivation ability. Basically, it's a specific spell that summons a spirit to possess and animate a puppet or doll. Unlike the walking corpses that require more direct, hands on control, the puppets just need to be instructed once and they'll carry out their task until completion. In the novel, the puppets are supernaturally stronger and more durable than the materials they're made of.

- Paper Metamorphosis: Demonic cultivation ability. Wei Wuxian can place his soul into a paper doll he can then animate and control for a limited amount of time. While he is possessing the doll, his real body is unconscious and completely vulnerable to danger. Any damage that's done to the paper doll is transferred over to his soul, which can result in him falling comatose for a year or rendering him insane for the rest of his life. Given the amount of risk involved, Wei Wuxian uses this ability mainly for spying on others.

- Talisman Magic: Essentially, these are magical symbols drawn or painted on various materials in order to produce a wide assortment of effects. They can draw or repel spirits, produce light, serve as an alarm if a perimeter has been breached, teleport the user, explode, etc. Most talismans burn up after just one use, requiring the user to create additional replacements so it's heavily dependent on resources. The more powerful a talisman is, the more spiritual power it requires. Given that Wei Wuxian's current body has limited spiritual power, he's not able to actually use any powerful talismans himself but he may be able pass on his knowledge to others.

- Empathy: A special technique used by Wei Wuxian in order to channel spirits and experience their memories as if they are his own. It's risky to use because it's possible for him to lose himself in the spirit's emotions if they are abnormally strong and become unable break the link on his own. The spirit being Empathized with may also simply possess him and take over his body as his own. Aside from these risk factors, Wei Wuxian is also vulnerable to physical harm during these trances whenever he uses it.
afterthemoment: (clever man)
An incomplete account of Wei Wuxian's history can be found here. I'll pick up where it leaves off below since it leaves out some crucial events.

Following the incident at Qiongqi Way, all the sect leaders held a meeting about what to do about Wei Wuxian and the remnants of the Wen Sect he'd rescued from captivity. By this point, he'd fled with them to the Burial Mound since it was the only place he could take them where they wouldn't be persecuted. Wei Wuxian used his powers as a demonic cultivator to keep the malevolent undead and supernatural entities at bay. He helped the refugees build new homes, farms, and a small community of their own in Burial Mound.

Due to his close relationship and Wei Wuxian's close association with the Yunmeng Jiang Sect, Jiang Cheng was chosen to deal with the issue. Most of the powerful cultivation clans wanted Wen Qing and the remnants of her sect completely annihilated even though she and her family line had refused to fight during the Sunshot Campaign. The meeting between the adopted brothers went very poorly. Jiang Cheng dismissed the aid that Wen Qing and her brother had once given them in their time of need and insisted that she and her family be handed back to their enemies. This angered Wei Wuxian who absolutely refused which resulted in a duel between the two and him ultimately deciding to leave the Yunmeng Jiang Sect entirely.

Life went on for a time. Wei Wuxian continued aiding the Wen Sect remnants with their endeavor to build a new life in Burial Mound. He'd also begun conducting experiments on the undead Wen Ning after promising his sister and their relatives that he could bring his consciousness back, something that'd never been achieved before in a fierce corpse. At one point, Lan Wangji visited to notify Wei Wuxian that his beloved adopted sister, Jiang Yanli, is getting married to an old rival of his: the heir of the Lanling Jin Sect, Jin Zixuan. The news was somewhat devastating for Wei Wuxian, who realized for the first time that he won't be able to see the person he loves most in the world get married.

During the meeting with Lan Wangji, Wei Wuxian received a talisman warning that something had gone wrong back at Burial Mound. When he returned, he discovered that Wen Ning had broken free of his constraints and started rampaging. After a struggle, he managed to calm him down and amazingly enough, Wen Ning regained his sentience. Afterward, Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian had a conversation about the dangers of resentful energy; the former worried about whether the latter could truly control it and was concerned about the negative impact it was having on his body and mind. Wen Qing came in and took over care of Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji left. For the first time, Wei Wuxian realized that while he might not be able to be close with his adoptive family in Yunmeng anymore, he found himself a new one among the Wen Sect remnants. Sometime later, Jiang Yanli, along with her brother as escort, arrived in Yiling for a surprise visit so he'd be able to see what she looked like on her wedding day.

About a year later, Wei Wuxian was still living with the Wen Sect remnants at Burial Mound and doing pretty well for himself. His adopted sister and her husband invited him to visit so he could meet his infant nephew, Jin Ling, at the one-month ceremony celebrating his birth. While travelling there with Wen Ning, he was ambushed by Jin Zixun, a cultivator of the Lanling Jin Sect, who falsely accused him of placing him under a curse. To make matters worse, he had come with substantial fight force that vastly outnumbered the two men. To make a long story short, a conflict broke out, Wei Wuxian's brother-in-law, Jin Zixuan came out just in time for Wei Wuxian to completely lose control over Wen Ning and get accidentally murdered in the conflict. Wei Wuxian blacked out and had to be rescued by Wen Ning and carried back to Burial Mound.

After waking up back home, Wei Wuxian freaked out at Wen Ning over the killing, worrying about what Yanli and his new nephew were going to do . A flipping out for a while in front of him and Wen Qing, he breaks down crying. Wen Qing paralyzes him, announcing that the Lanling Jin Sect said they'd drop the matter if the leaders of the remaining Wen Sect came forward. She tells Wei Wuxian that she and her brother have decided to turn themselves in with the hope that the dust around the incident will settle, even though it's likely they'll both lose their lives. She takes this one last opportunity to apologize and thank him for everything's done. Wei Wuxian had no choice but to watch his two closest friends leave him behind to walk to their deaths.

As soon as the paralysis wore off three days later, Wei Wuxian headed straight to Koi Tower, the headquarters of the Lanling Jin Sec, even though he knew he'd probably be too late to save them. Once there, he ran to Jiang Yanl mourning her husband, but ran away, unable to face her after killing her husband. Unfortunately, Wei Wuxian was spotted by someone else and an alarm was sounded. Before he escaped, he learned that that his friends had been burned to death and their ashes would be spead publicly as part of a victory celebration over the Wen Sect remnants during an annual conference involving all the sects at Nightless City, their ancestral home. Already dangerously unstable from recent devastating losses and mistakes, unprocessed war trauma from the Sunshot Campaign, prolonged usage of resentful energy, this news combined with overhearing a lot of vicious gossip about terrible of a person he was pretty much pushed Wei Wuxian over the edge. He confronted the gossips, violently assaulted them, and then started making his way to Nightless City to settle things with the Four Great Sects, unaware that Lan Wangji was on his trail and had been searching for him for days.

Wei Wuxian arrived at the Discussion Conference just in time to see Jin Guangshan, the Lanling Jin Sect's leader, scatter the the ashes of Wen Qing and her brother, and publicly vowing to do the same thing to him and their family of refugees. A bitter confrontation broke out between the opposing sides. Wei Wuxian called out the sect leaders on their unjust and cruel genocide of innocent people who'd done them no harm. The sect leaders called him out on his arrogance, general opposition of their goals, and slaughter of their cultivators whenever they'd come to blows. Basically, both sides escalated the conflict and got angrier and more hateful until a young cultivator shot an arrow at him with clear intent to kill but missed his heart. Wei Wuxian pulled it out and threw it right back him, killing him.

From that point on, the Discussion Conference turned into a bloodletting with the sect cultivators vowing to kill their enemy and Wei Wuxian, now half-mad with anguish, grief, and rage in addition to being corrupted by resentful energy, raising the dead of Nightless City to combat them. Much to the shock, Jiang Yanli showed up on the battlefiend, calling for him. Bloodlust now replaced by terror, Wei Wuxian began frantically searching for her through the chaos, in the process losing control of the corpses he'd summoned. Jiang Cheng, who'd also attended the meeting, also sought out his sister. Unfortunately, Jiang Yanli was cut down by one of the walking corpses before either of her brothers could get to her. Urged on by Lan Wangji to get the corpses back under his control, Wei Wuxian tried and failed, unable to do so in his distraught state. Jiang Cheng, furious at situation, turned on his adopted brother for his role in all of it.

It turned out that Jiang Yanli's wounds weren't fatal and despite being in pain, disoriented, and losing a lot of blood, she called Wei Wuxian over to her. She persuaded him to stop the corpses from rampaging and this time he was successful. It looked like the situation might calm down until the brother of the young cultivator that Wei Wuxian had killed earlier chose that moment to attack him from behind. Jiang Yanli, spotting the would-be killer, pushed her adopted brother out of the way and took the fatal blow meant for him. In that moment, Wei Wuxian's fragile grasp on sanity finally snapped completely. He snapped the neck of the boy who'd killed his beloved sister with his bare hands and assembled the Stygian Tiger Seal, a powerful and dangerous artifact that could create and control undead in massive numbers without straining the person using it.

Somewhere between three thousand and five thousand people were slain that night. Wei Wuxian, himself, was so deeply traumatized by the death of Jiang Yanli and the painful events that led up to it and simply shut down. The only reason he escaped Nightless City was because Lan Wangji rescued him and helped him escape back to the Burial Mound at Yiling. His old friend nursed him back to health, took care of him, and even confessed his love for him but nothing could reach Wei Wuxian. All he would say was "Get lost."

For three months, the cultivation world, shaken and enraged by the massacre that had occurred in Nightless City, banded their forces together and prepared to besiege Yiling and rid themselves of Wei Wuxian once and for all. Led by Jiang Cheng, they attacked the Burial Mound. All the Wen Sect survivors save one were murdered. Wei Wuxian, himself, was also murdered, apparently cut to pieces.

For thirteen years after the Yiling Patriarch's death, the cultivation world kept vigil over his former home and regularly attenmpted to contact his spirit but to no avail. According to a translated interview with the author, Wei Wuxian existed in a primordial, chaotic, dream-like state where he was aware of the passage of time but not fully conscious either. She likened it to a never-ending nightmare but has stated in quite a few interviews that she's leaving a lot of things to fan interpretation. Based on what the author's said, ancient Chinese beliefs about the afterlife and reincarnation, and how he's characterized in the present segments of the story, I'm playing Wei Wuxian as having spent the past thirteen years in a purgatory where he's been forced to relive and reflect on his worst mistakes as a means of atonement and preparation for reincarnation.

Reincarnation comes sooner than expected when a demonic cultivator by the name of Mo Xuanyu sacrifices his own body and soul to bring Wei Wuxian back into the realm of the living to take revenge on his abusive family.

Hugging this character: Sure! WWX is pretty laidback and physically affectionate so he won't be too bothered by it. He may take it as permission to hug or hang off your character from that point onward so be mindful of that.
Kissing this character: Probably yes but it might be a good idea to discuss it first since his reaction will depend on the circumstances. There could be potential IC consequences coming from Lan Wangji's direction given that he's been shown to have a jealous streak over WWX in their canon.
Flirting with this character: Sure but keep in mind that WWX is highly oblivious when it comes to romance to a trainwreck extent. Even the most dedicated and blatant flirting will likely go right over his head and straight into the ocean where it will be completely forgotten about. That said, while he can be an incorrigible flirt himself, there's generally not any actual romantic intent behind it. He's also more or less spoken for by his canon love interest so as long as you're okay with no ship coming from it, flirt away.
Fighting with this character: Sure! Presently, WWX is adjusting to a new body that's weaker than what he's used to so he doesn't have an accurate gauge for what his physical limits are just yet. That said, he's very adept at dodging and using improvised objects to block incoming attacks. He's also very accurate with thrown projectiles or with archery. In his youth, he was a highly skilled swordsman though he's 13+ years out of practice and in a body lacking muscle memory so his abilities in this department are significantly impaired. The main things to be on the lookout for is that he's able to raise undead creatures up to the size of a dog to fight for him. Right now, WWX is limited to just one at a time and can control it to a limited extent through whistling; if he loses control of it, it will simply go on a mindless rampage and attack whoever's in the area without discrimination until he regains it. He also uses magical talismans in fights and is very skilled at tripping opponents and sticking one on their backs. The main one he'll use here is his Pin talisman which will weigh the target down so they can't move. The effect is temporary and can be cancelled by WWX simply removing the talisman. These talismans burn up after one use and there's limits to how many times he can use them and heavily dependent on what he has in stock. For the most part, WWX will just use them to trap an opponent long enough to make an escape.
Injuring this character (include limits and severity): Minor injuries and bruises are always fine. If something might seriously injure him and lay him up for longer than a day or two, ask me first!
Killing this character: Possibly but discuss it with me first!
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: Sure! Characters with these abilities are always welcome to reference whatever's referenced in introspection in tags. If you're looking for something deeper, let's discuss it! Be warned though, WWX has a lot of repressed memories that are simply put pure nightmare fuel that could potentially leave the character traumatized after the fact.

Warnings: WWX is a very brazen and shameless person with a poor sense of appropriate boundaries. In his canon, he has some kinks like BDSM and consensual noncon roleplay but due to the game rules about sexual content, I plan to avoid having him bring those up outside of private inbox threads so it'll be very easy to opt out of reading about them. His background also deals with some dark and disturbing subjects such as war, violence, torture, implied cannibalism of the dead in order to survive, genocide, and mass murder but he's extremely unlikely to even mention it much less discuss it any sort of detail with anyone but his closest CR. WWX also suffers from severe PTSD; most of the time it manifests in the form of traumatic amnesia and flashbacks. Canines are a very powerful trigger for him; it doesn't matter how non-threatening the canine is, it's going to send him screaming and crying up a tree trying to get away from it. WWX is utterly incapable of managing this phobia at all.

As a general rule, if there's a subject you'd rather avoid completely, just let me know. Other than that, I'll try my best to be diligent with content warnings so no one's blindsided by something unpleasant.

Permissions for Musical Influencing

WWX has the conscious ability to influence the moods of subjects through his flute playing. Like most of his cultivation abilities, he uses this pretty sparingly and only in special circumstances where it's the clearest and fastest solution to an ongoing problem other methods have failed at.

Faster, chaotic tunes agitate and invoke hostility in the subject, putting them in a state of upset or unrest. The longer and more intensely he plays, the stronger and pronounced the effects are and the target may become more prone to hostile feelings of annoyance, frustration, anxiety, and anger. At its height, the target might feel rage, hatred, and a compulsion to single-mindedly destroy a perceived enemy.

Slower, softer melodies have a soothing effect that induces calm and feelings of peacefulness. They ease feelings of worry, strife, and agitation, relaxing the subject and lulling the subject into a docile, peaceful state. While they won't put the subject to sleep outright, the subject may relax to the point they feel relaxed to the point to drowsiness at its uppermost limit.

All in all, the subject remains in full control of their own thoughts, decisions, and actions, mainly this ability only effects the emotional backdrop behind them, so to speak.

If you want to have your character be influenced by his flute music and snap out of its effects at any time, that's easy to do. WWX is 13 years out of practice as a flutist so it's very easy to have him flub his playing to produce a diminished effect on your character if that's what you want. If you wish to opt out of this entirely, that's not a problem either!

As a general rule, I'll always check in with a player first before having WWX use this ability in a thread just to make sure permissions and limits are set before it comes into play. However, if you wanna plot/discuss this in advance, here is a very brief form for folks to fill out and comment with below:

If you ever change your mind and want to grant or revoke permissions with this ability, all you have to do is ask and I'll work with you!

Hugging this character: Sure! Wuxian's pretty comfortable with physical affection. He'll especially likes it when it comes from pretty girls or his friends.
Kissing this character: See above. If it's on the lips, expect him to be shocked, even if a character's expressed romantic interest in him before, it's most likely gone completely over his head. If he's in a relationship with someone else, he may react negatively or get upset. Wuxian's intensely loyal and monogamous with his romantic partners.
Flirting with this character: Sure. He's as dense as a neutron star when it comes interpreting romantic attraction and interest toward him and is likely to assume your character's just being friendly. On the other hand, he can be a flirt himself, especially with cute girls, though there's rarely any actual romantic intent behind it.
Fighting with this character: Sure! Depending on his canon point, Wuxian's a skilled and agile swordsman, otherwise his skills are rusty from disuse. In general, he's quite adept at dodging and blocking attacks with quickly improvised objects. His main abilities in combat, however, are necromancy and animating puppets to fight for him though he tends to do this as a defensive measure more an offensive one and depending on his canonpoint, something he may be reluctant to do at all. He is also very good as using talismans, usually by tripping an opponent and slapping one on their back. This tends to be his preferred method of combat.
Injuring this character (include limits and severity): Minor cuts and injuries are fine. Anything really major that could potentially lay him up for a while, please ask first.
Killing this character: Possibly but ask me first!
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: Sure. As a general rule, introspection referenced in tags is fair game for characters who have this sort of ability. If your character's probing any deeper than that, we'll need to discuss it since the deeper the character probes, the more likely they're going to run into repressed memories of pure nightmare fuel that could leave them traumatized.

Warnings: Certain aspects of Wuxian's backstory involve extreme levels of sadism and cruelty toward his enemies, desecration of the dead, and other disturbing or horrific elements. References to it may come up in his introspection from time to time but if you'd rather it didn't, let me know directly so I know not to include it and can remove it for you.

When it comes to sex, Wuxian is almost completely shameless. In the novel canon, he has a kink for nonconsensual roleplaying with his husband that he's ridiculously over-the-top about but it's extremely unlikely that it'll ever come up at all outside of an intimate ship or conversation with close friends. I have a strict rule about communicating OOCly about it first so please don't worry about it getting sprung on you without warning. I'm also perfectly happy to tone him down, leash him in, handwave, fade to black, whatever it is that's needed to ensure that player comfort levels aren't compromised in any way. Again, just let me know directly if there's a problem with a tag so I can fix it right away.

Players are also welcome to opt out of interactions with him at any time for any reason. I won't get mad or be offended. Believe me, I know this character can be hard to take at times for various reasons.

How am I doing with Wei Wuxian?

Comments and concrit are welcome. Flames will be ignored. Please be aware that while I take all concrit into consideration, I reserve the right to decline implementing it at my own discretion. Usually, the only time this happens is if the crit is completely unreasonable, illogical, irrational, or poorly researched. Please note that I don't treat fanon takes, regardless of popularity, as part of the canon so I request that those who crit me to cite canon examples, genre information, and translated interviews with the author so I can review the source material and make my own judgment about it.

However, as I said, I'll gladly hear out any thoughts or concerns folks might have. If something doesn't immediately change, please be patient because it's going to take time for me to review, process, and implement things. Improvement takes time.

PMs are a good way to get in touch with me but if you wish a matter to kept entirely confidential, please let me know directly to prevent any potential misunderstandings on my end.
