"Clean up first." He finally steps back, moving to find a cloth and wet it so they can clean up before he just picks Wei Ying up to carry him to bed, gently dropping him on the covers before stretching out beside him, one arm settling over him as he leans to brush lips against his hair.

"...We'll get an early start tomorrow." Because he knows Wei Ying isn't going to want to sit still. Can't let himself sit still while he has questions and while he'll have to take some time off, he'll be right beside him.

Once they've cleaned up and they're back in the bedroom, Wei Ying's content to cuddle close to his lover. The restlessness that had plagued him when he'd tried to rest before is gone now, replaced by peace. He nods a little drowsily at Lan Zhan's words, reaching up to gently pull him down for a soft, goodnight kiss.

As confusing as his situation is, he'll be okay as long as Lan Zhan is with him through it.

He meets the kiss easily, keeping it brief and just covering them both with one arm staying over Wei Ying as he watches over him until he falls asleep. And then he dozes off himself.
