Lan Zhan's just so cute at this age. Fun to tease, too! Not put off even slightly by his cold demeanor, Wei Ying continues to follow him back to his study area.

"Are you sure you want me to go away, Lan Zhan? Did you even look at the book you grabbed before you walked away with it? I don't think you did unless you're doing a paper on homosexuality throughout history. What class is that for, I wonder?"

He taps his chin in mock thoughtfulness.

"...Leave" His temper finally flares and it's a good thing they're alone in the library because that carries a little too far.

Ah, they've reached the temper stage again already. Wei Ying studies him carefully, expression not even the slightest bit bothered by what he'd just seen. He hadn't quite decided on just how much to disclose about himself or their history together this time around. Leaving's simply not an option, however. He's tried staying away from Lan Zhan before in the past and in the end, they'd both wound up ever more miserable for it.

Wei Ying keeps advancing until Lan Zhan's trapped against a wall, not feeling even the slightest bit guilty for it after all the times his incarnations have pinned him to various flat surfaces throughout the millenia. Walls, trees, tables, floors, carpets, rugs... Lan Zhan's fucked him against or on top of all of them at some point or another.

"No," he says simply, finally coming to a decision and he cups Lan Zhan's face in his hands and presses his lips to his as if it's the most natural thing to do in the world.

For Wei Ying, it is. And he's missed him more than he'd thought.

He's never been one to back down but something about the way Wei Ying moves has him stepping back until he's against the wall and then when their lips meet, he feels like something shifted inside him as he kisses back, one hand cradling the back of Wei Ying's head.

But he breaks the kiss a moment later, moving so their positions are reversed before his mouth is on Wei Ying's again, this kiss more aggressive.

It's as nostalgic as it is amusing. Lan Zhan's body is so much more fragile than his own at this point yet he still insists on protecting him from the rest of the world. The gesture's as endearing as it is useless but Wei Ying complies anyway. It still feels nice, after all!

He submits to this more aggressive kiss, embracing Lan Zhan fully as he allows his lover to vent out his desire and whatever other feelings he's been suppressing up until this point. After playfully dueling Lan Zhan's tongue with his for a little bit, he breaks the kiss, dropping a quick, affectionate peck on his lips, before pulling back to murmur.

"Come home with me tonight. Back to my place."

Even though he has a dorm room on campus that he sometimes sleeps in when he's feeling lonely and just wants the human company of his roommate, Wei Ying has his own townhouse in the city.

His breathing is already rough, just from the kisses, one hand twined in Wei Ying's hair and his eyes burning as they lock with Wei Ying's. "...Yes." Because how is he supposed to say no when just a kiss has this much of an effect on him.

Pulling away takes him a moment though, pushing down the urge to kiss him again, hands stripping him bare right so he can touch before he moves to go collect his things and the follows him out, locking the library as they leave.

It doesn't take terribly long for them to take Wei Ying's motorcycle to his townhouse. Once they're safely inside and the door's firmly locked behind them, Wei Ying shoves Lan Zhan up against the wall, taking his mouth in a hungry, possessive kiss as he reaches down to undo his trousers so he can slip a hand inside them.

Unfortunately, Wei Ying's hand happens to be freezing as it often is when he hasn't fed recently. He's not starving and he's more interested in taking and reclaiming Lan Zhan as his own again at the moment.

He kisses back, his hips bucking into Wei Ying's hand as he groans into the kiss, his hands working at whatever clothing he can get off as soon as they break. And then he's just picking Wei Ying up for another kiss

".Bed?"

Wei Ying allows him to strip him down on the spot, returning the favor. They can always pick up their clothes later. He returns the kiss, all of his old feelings rushing back just they always do when they're together like this. No matter how many centuries or millennia pass or how he adapts to letting him go and living his life without him, he'll never fall out of in love with Lan Zhan. Not completely.

"Yes, bed."

A quick, soft smooch.

"It's up the stairs and to right so put me down and I'll climb with you."

Really, why couldn't he have a single floor home?

"...Or you could just do me on the couch instead. The living room's right over there."

Wei Ying points to a room on their left.

There's a moment where he considers his options before just heading for the couch, Wei Ying in his lap as he catches him another kiss, hands smoothing up his back slowly, fingers tracing over every inch of skin he can reach.

He returns the kiss, passion and love flaring up within him as he tightens his fingers in Lan Zhan's hair, giving it a gentle tug, and sucks deliberately on his tongue.

It really has been too long since Wei Ying has felt Lan Zhan's hands on him.

The downside to being downstairs and on the couch is that Wei Ying's lube is upstairs. Not that he's quite ready to be fucked just yet. They've barely just gotten started and if there's one thing Wei Ying's learned throughout lengthy span of years, it's that there's just so many things they can do together. And he gets to teach Lan Zhan and watch him discover things about himself and Wei Ying all over again! It's exciting!

He reaches around behind himself and starts fingering his opening slowly anyhow, shameless gasps and moans spilling against Lan Zhan's lips.

That.. that has him frozen, lips parted slightly gaze locked on Wei Ying, just watching him while he tries to get his brain back into some sort of remotely functional state. Then he just moves, pinning him to the couch, one hand pulling Wei Ying's away before he's got his own fingers there instead, his mouth on Wei Ying's neck.

"...Shameless." It's breathed against his skin.

It's such a familiar position to be in that Wei Ying can't help but wonder how much he remembers this time. Or if this is simply some kind of past life instinct. He's spent much time studying Lan Zhan and trying to determine just where the line between life and death in him lies.

His thoughts are disrupted by the feeling of Lan Zhan's fingers working inside him and he groans encouragingly.

"I've missed you. I've missed you so much," he mumbles to himself, arching his neck to give him more access to his throat.

He remembers some things. A body under his, laughter, his name on familiar lips and the way it feels to hold the man beneath him. The next bite is rough, his teeth all but breaking the skin as he works Wei Ying open.

"I'm here." It's quiet, Wangji withdrawing his fingers to stroke himself before he's between Wei Ying's legs, bending them up over his body while he rocks his hips and then just drives into him.

He'd planned to do more, but the ache to be inside Wei Ying had taken over.

The entry hurts without lubrication, more than he'd expected, and tears of pain spring to his eyes. As usual, this comes with its own strange pleasure as all the thwarted emotions he's been containing since the last time they'd said goodbye burst free from the dam that's held them at bay for so long.

The couch isn't the most comfortable for this and the angle's awkward but Wei Ying reaches up to touch him anywhere he can.

"Go slow. Be gentle at first," he directs in a soft, pained voice that's saturated with love.

In the past, he's usually been Lan Zhan's first sexual encounter and he's unsure if that's changed with the times. Either way, he's taking the lead as has become his habit with most of his lovers in the fifteen hundred years or so.

He's so tight, Wangji can't even breathe as his fingers flex on narrow hips, golden eyes molten with need and something much deeper. From the first time he'd seen this man, he'd been drawn to him, been captivated by him and now it just felt like he belonged here.

Like he'd found his home and Wangji dipped his head to kiss Wei Ying, this one softer, more gentle.

"..Mine."

"Always. Always."

Of all the lovers he's taken over the years, only one man has ever been his spouse. Wei Ying hasn't allowed others to bite or mark him during their separations. He's kept them for very specific purposes: companionship, support, sustenance, and protection during times he's chosen to slumber away the centuries until he could find Lan Zhan again.

Right now, he focuses on simply relaxing and caressing Lan Zhan's face again and again. Oh, how he's ached to be able to touch him again.

"You're my husband," he confesses sweetly, giving him a brief kiss.

And then once the pain has subsided and he feels like he's loosened up enough for the act, he speaks up again.

"You can start moving now, Lan Zhan."

It feels right, hearing those words and when permission is given,he starts, slow at first, just trying to adjust to the feeling before he finds the pace they both crave, his hands moving up to cup Wei ying's face as he kisses him again.

Wei Ying kisses back, his breathing quickening along with the pace. His hands move restlessly all over Lan Zhan, just savoring the fact that he's alive and with once more. Afterward, he's bound to have questions and Wei Ying will do his best to answer them but for now, he's just going to enjoy their lovemaking.

"I'm so happy you're back," he whispers, rocking his hips into his lover's thrusts. "I've been so lonely..."

Feelings he kept denying to himself.

The words just push him to move that much faster, his fingers digging into Wei Ying's hips as he teeth find another spot on his neck, sucking a mark after he bites.

And his thrusts drive into Wei Ying, one hand shifting to stroke him, his grip tight as his hand slides over the shaft.

His gasps fill the air, punctuated by ragged groans, as his nails scratch slowly down Lan Zhan's back. It really has been too long. Between Lan Zhan's thrusts and his stroking hand, Wei Ying's ratcheting toward and over that edge much sooner than tends to be typical for him.

"Lan Zhan," he moans as he comes.

So much for drawing this union out and savoring it.

His hand stills but it takes him several more thrusts before he joins Wei Ying, just lying on top of him lips brushing against his jaw briefly as he lets his breathing slow.

"...Talk." Because he knows there's a lot Wei Ying needs to talk about.

They're both a mess at the moment but Wei Ying holds him close in a way that's both possessive and protective anyway. Now that the moment's come to start speaking about their history, he freezes a little, uncharacteristically flustered, and unsure of where to even begin. In the past, Wei Ying's tried to pace things out a bit, introduce their relationship to him slowly. He usually asks him out on a few dates before jumping headlong into inviting him to his place and everything that entails.

And after calling Lan Zhan his husband in the middle of sex, he can't exactly backpedal and say he was kidding. It'd probably hurt his feelings and serve no purpose besides alienation. And he's so over trying to hide things for no other reason than to hide them.

"I... Well. It's.... complicated to explain but you really are my husband. Or at least, you were before! I don't like to presume too much when I first meet you. You know, in case you ever change your mind. Not that I really expect you to because you never do. For some reason, you still want to be with me when I ask and I don't know why."

He stops his nervous babbling to take a breath.

"But, um, I'm not a college student. I mean, I am but not like others on campus? I've been to this school a lot, every few generations I come back because I don't age and don't want anyone to recognize me. I like school and I like learning! And I need to stay up to date on technology and customs so I keep coming back. There's a bunch of others that I go to, too, so I move around a lot..."

Finally, he trails off, out of air again.

He lets Wei Ying talk himself out as he moves slowly, pulling away and just picking him up take him upstairs before he asks any more questions and to give him a moment to think. Dropping him on the bed, Wangji follows, pinning him again with a kiss before.

"..Start at the beginning. Slower."

He stretches out comfortably on the bed beneath him. It's a king sized canopy bed with red curtains and comforter that's vaguely reminiscent of a traditional marriage bed. It's for this reason that none of his other lovers were ever permitted to sleep with him here. Their couplings had always taken place elsewhere.

For a long moment, Wei Ying just stares up at Lan Zhan, studying his face closely. When he finally starts speaking, his words are quiet and carefully even.

"We've been together a really long time, Lan Zhan. Since ancient times. It's all just stories now but we lived it. We were cultivators like in the movies. And you were my husband."

His memory has always been faulty; that hasn't changed since achieving immortality. There's much about their first life that he simply doesn't remember anymore. At least, outside the moments directly related to them.

"...Our paths were different. I studied a dark, forbidden path. I learned to harness resentful energy, the energy of the dead. I wanted to put it to good use for the world. But I couldn't become immortal like you could. I didn't have a golden core. So I found another way but it changed me. My body is no longer human."
